How to get started with FABZFIT?

You have to just make it happen.

If you are serious about wanting to get fit, about improving your self-image and your morale, you must kiss all of the excuses good-bye because there are no shortcuts in getting fit.

Getting fit is a lifestyle.

No sweat-less quickies. Consistency is key!

The program I offer has a set of exercise guidelines that are meant to go hand-in-hand with meal plans.

*Compulsive exercising is as unhealthful as compulsive eating.  Seek balance and moderation in both.

*The body needs at least one day to rest and repair itself.

Just think! There are 3,500 calories in one fat pound. If you combine burning 500 calories more with eating 500 calories less, you’ll have a deficit of 1,000 calories at the day’s end and two pounds at the week’s end.

The key to getting fit is patience.  Patience is Key!

Each body responds differently. Each body and mind begins the diet in a different state of fitness. Eventually, with combined persistence, the fat melts away.

Why is the scale going in the wrong direction?

There are many reasons why this can happen and the reason is different for each person.  My situation was different.  My body began to retain water.  Water weight is not permanent. Many things can be done to help remedy this situation like any other situation that can occur.  My water weight was remedied with drinking dandelion tea to sweat more.

The longer I stayed consistent, the more I began to change gradually.

Once you’ve followed the FABZFIT plan, you gain the fundamentals of what can be a lifelong way of balancing what you do and what you eat.

FABZFIT is a solid program you can really count on to keep you fit, lean, and feeling good.

Train the mind the body will follow

A lot of us are knowledgeable and are very aware of things that we should and could be doing, yet we fail to do it. In other words my actions does not match up with what I believe.    The more I thought about, the more I came to the realization that the reason I failed to practice certain things was because I tend to care about people’s perception of me. I allowed and continue to allow people’s thoughts and concern to affect my life.  I used to overextend myself in doing anything asked of me in order to honor the feelings of others. I lived in this manner because I did not want to be perceived as someone who was selfish and not nice.     Losing weight is not complicated. It is us as humans that choose to make everything we do difficult. One of the main reason we find it to be difficult is because we tend to approach weight loss with instant gratification.    Having worked one on one with many clients and talking to hundreds of people througho...

Night eating

Ever had one of those nights when that voice whisper and says, “just a bite? You were good all day and ate healthy but for some reason your taste bud calls for something you know you should not be eating. You go to the kitchen, open the refrigerator door, and look at all the food you have. Decisions, decisions.  Which snack will it be?   I have had clients tell me that they have been surrounded by delicious food all day long and were able to dodge the temptations, but for some reason they are unable to keep their diets at night. Their diet is routinely sabotaged at night. The thoughts usually fall under the lines of “I have been good all day”. I rode my bike for 3 miles. I walked, weight trained and did various exercise and because of this, I deserve a reward for my good behavior. This thinking, leads us to consume a full day’s calories every night.    The truth is they are deserving of a treat, but treating themselves badly. Treats should be consumed spa...

How does the whole house get to eating healthy?

Replated Rice & Beans (spinach, kale and onions included) Healthy eating equals a healthy family! We often think that the only person who should be eating healthy is the person who is trying to lose weight. That is a lie!  Anyone and everyone should be attempting to eat healthy.   Healthy eating keeps diseases away and body in optimal shape. This article will help parents think of new ideas for healthy food preparation. I have a young child that hates vegetables. It was important that I found new ways to incorporate vegetables into his eating habits. I did and I called it replating.  I simply found ways to incorporate fruit and vegetables in every meal and make it look differently while respecting every family member's preferences.  Do not like the way vegetables & fruits look - Make them to look differently.  Growing in a Caribbean household meant that you did not have much choice in what you ate. You were given plates of food...
